We recently enjoyed our first private chef experience at home and it proved to be an excellent afternoon from start to finish. Prepared by Alex, a Sous Chef from The Ivy, the experience offered restaurant-quality dining in a relaxed home setting.
The afternoon began with a selection of carefully prepared welcome canapés, followed by a four course vegetarian dining experience that showcased a strong balance of flavour and presentation throughout each dish.
The first course featured deep-fried halloumi served with sweet yogurt, balsamic dressing, and fresh pomegranate, combining salty, sweet, and sharp flavours. For the second course, oven-baked stuffed mushrooms were served with pesto mayo and basil oil, creating a well-balanced starter with fresh herb flavours throughout. The main course consisted of handcrafted pesto and cream cheese ravioli served in a white wine velouté with basil oil, toasted pine nuts, and fresh dill. The dish was light, well presented and full of flavour. And to finish, a traditional tiramisu was served with espresso-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cream and cocoa.
Private dining experiences like this are available from £65 per person, offering the opportunity to enjoy a professionally prepared three course meal in your own home with friends or family, this price includes a complimentary bottle of wine.
