The wait is over… The Garden Restaurant is officially back open!
Tucked away in Florence Road is The Garden Restaurant, it has reopened its garden gates and once again transformed into one of the city’s dreamiest outdoor dining retreats.
What we particularly like about this venue is the golden hour dinners beneath the garden lights and we’ve also had some laid back afternoons with seafood tacos and cocktails in the garden, the atmosphere is exactly what summer in Southsea should feel like. Their reopening weekend last month was popular, with pizzas firing in the oven and a garden full of happy customers. Both indoor conservatory seating and covered outdoor cabin seating is available to suit the weather.
The menu blends relaxed garden dining with standout dishes fresh from the oak fire grill, including fillet steak and prawns that are already causing quite a stir in the foodies community. Brunch, vegetarian and gluten free options are also available, the venue also offers private dining experiences and is perfect for baby showers or other special occasions. Dog friendly too, so our furry friends don’t miss out either.
Whether you’re looking for an outdoor casual lunch, drinks with friends, or a cosy evening meal hidden away from the busy seafront environment, but still just a short walk from the beach, The Garden Restaurant has become one of Southsea’s ultimate summer escapes once again.
